Adelante Healthcare Mesa
The Adelante Healthcare East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) campus in Mesa, Arizona provides an integrative space for five separate medical practices all connected by common pathways, an atrium, pharmacy and café. The project team worked to create a comfortable and nurturing space to positively impact patients in the healing process. Natural daylighting and careful selection of finish materials were used to enhance indoor environmental quality within the building, along with a high-efficiency HVAC system to provide substantial energy savings. The facility is near many basic public services which creates easy access for pedestrians, promotes alternative modes of transportation and fosters a sense of community. Green Ideas implemented several sustainable strategies into the design, development and construction of the project, allowing it to become the first community health center in the nation to earn LEED Platinum level certification.
Sustainable Strategies
