Green Ideas Sustainability Consultant’s President Charlie Popeck appeared on KAET’s Arizona Horizon on Monday, October 19th 2015.

Host Ted Simons discusses the current state of Green Building in Arizona with Charlie, in addition to reviewing some of Arizona’s top LEED certified buildings.

Charlie is President of Green Ideas and one of the first LEED Accredited Professionals in the United States. He has been a leader in the green building industry since founding the Arizona Chapter of the USGBC in 2002. In addition, Charlie is a member of the USGBC’s national faculty, and regularly delivers educational seminars throughout the country on behalf of the organization. He has a keen understanding of high-performance sustainable design, as well as hands-on field experience with green building products, application and installation techniques. As a certified Construction Documents Technologist with the Construction Specifications Institute, he also brings a unique product and construction administration perspective to the green building industry.

Emmy-winning host Ted Simons has worked in television and radio in the Phoenix area for more than 30 years. The long-time Valley journalist took over as the public affairs producer/reporter for Arizona Horizon at Eight in 2007. Prior to joining Eight, Simons hosted the afternoon drive news/talk show on KTAR radio, worked as news director/morning show host for KZON-FM and news/sports anchor/reporter at KPHO-TV. Simons was also sports director/anchor at KOFY-TV in San Francisco, Calif.
